Hitma corporate social responsibility
At Hitma, doing business is about more than just our company’s economic performance. We strive to be a good employer for our employees and recognize our responsibilities when it comes to society, the technical sector, and sustainability.
We adhere to the principles established by our parent company Indutrade and take responsibility for both our own actions and the products and services we provide.
UN Global Compact
Indutrade, the Swedish holding company of which Hitma is a part, signed the United Nations Global Compact sustainability initiative on 28 March 2019.
For Indutrade, sustainable business means managing companies with a long-term perspective. Indutrade aims for long-term value creation and views sustainability as a driving force behind the development of its companies in achieving sustainable, profitable growth.
By signing the UN Global Compact, Indutrade — and thus also Hitma — has committed to operating in accordance with the 17 principles (Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs) set out for sustainable development in the following areas:
- Human rights
- Labour
- Environment
- Anti-corruption
Science Based Targets
On 9 December 2022, Indutrade joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). With this step, Hitma’s parent company has formally committed to developing targets and reducing emissions in line with climate science.
